It all started with the hunt for the perfect cup of coffee or perhaps, how to make the perfect cup of coffee. We learned that there is no such thing as the "perfect cup" because taste is subjective and the world of coffee is more complex than we initially thought. We started with brewing variations and found our way to where it all begins: the coffee tree.
There are many factors that affect the taste of coffee--bean variety, where it was grown, how it was processed and stored, roast profile, and brewing method.
Bean origin and quality, roasting, and freshness are very important in making a good cup of coffee; and we want to make it simpler and more accessible for the consumer. We take care of the top three factors so you can just open a Kaffeol bag, grind and brew it the way you want.
We check the farms and/or mills where the beans are processed to make sure our roaster has quality beans to work with. Production roasts don’t stay on our shelves for more than a month and is versatile enough for a range of brew methods. However, we can also do custom roasts according to the profile you prefer or specific to the brew method you will be using.
Our journey has helped us find and work with the best in the Philippine coffee industry to provide you with meticulously picked, processed, and perfectly roasted beans to use in making your perfect cup of coffee.
(During our learning process, we found out that there are people who aren't aware that the Philippines' coffee farmers can produce quality coffee beans (arabica, liberica, robusta, excelsa). We want to help change the notion that local coffee is of subpar quality so every Kaffeol bag contains either a local single origin or blend of locally grown beans.)
